First Class has settled nicely into their new classroom and are working very hard for their new teacher, Ms. Dunne.
The boys in First Class have been learning all about autumn in SESE, exploring how we can identify the season by observing the environment around us. This year, we have also started cursive writing, which the boys have been implementing in their writing. The boys have been learning all about Irish Traditional Instruments and they love showing teacher their fabulous Irish Dancing moves. In Maths, the boys are exploring mathematical concepts through hands on learning and fun interactive games on our whiteboard.
We have been fortunate to receive visits from coaches from St. Brigid’s GAA and TUD on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Most recently, we had a special visitor in our classroom who taught us all about Lego Animatronics!
We’ve completed lots of great artwork, which can be seen on the displays outside our room, and we look forward to having lots more fun in First Class.
